Autism Diagnostic Clinic

What is the Autism Diagnostic Clinic?
The Autism Diagnostic Clinic is a multidisciplinary assessment service for children who are suspected of having Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The clinic was developed in response to delays in accessing autism diagnoses in the Parry Sound area, which can impact families’ ability to access funding through the Ontario Autism Program (OAP).
Assessments are completed by a Clinical Psychologist, an Occupational Therapist, and a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Please note this service is only available at our Parry Sound clinic.
What to Expect from the Autism Diagnostic Clinic
The clinic operates one day per month and sees two children per day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Each assessment lasts approximately three hours.
Following the assessment, parents meet with the team to review findings, discuss results, and receive a diagnosis if appropriate. Final documentation is sent within two weeks of the assessment.
