SUMMARY:Kitchen Connections | Ages 14-18
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun and interactive virtual meal prep group for teens! Participants will learn simple recipes and kitchen safety while building independence and executive functioning skills such as planning\, organization\, time management\, and following multi-step directions. Supervised by an Occupational Therapist and run by an Occupational Therapy Assistant. \nYouth participating should:\n– Be safe using basic kitchen utensils\n– Be able to use a microwave with only verbal prompts from the therapist\n– Be able to follow directions in a virtual/group format\n– Have access to basic kitchen supplies and ingredients at home \nSessions are kept intentionally small with just 2 teens per group\, allowing for individualized support while also encouraging conversation\, peer interaction\, and social engagement. \n$320 \nAges 14-18\nJuly 8\, July 15\, July 22\, July 29 (4 weeks) \nWednesdays | 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM \nVirtual \nPlease note: this group is only open to clients who have received a therapy service from our clinic within the last 12 months.\n \nREGISTER HERE
