Speech-Language Pathologist

We are looking for a dedicated, engaging, and experienced Paediatric Speech Language Pathologist to join our team of professional therapists.

Required Competencies:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology with experience in paediatric treatment/assessment.
  • Be a registered member in good standing of the College of Registered Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
  • A minimum of 2 years experience
  • You demonstrate a solid understanding and compliance with College practice standards.
  • You rock at working independently and collaboratively as part of an interprofessional team.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to set priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with booking software and virtual treatment is an asset.

COVID-19 Considerations:

LSCTS has been working diligently to ensure our staff and clients stay safe during these uncertain times. Which is why we have been able to stay open and offer the great services that we do.  Part of our guidelines include:

  • Asking clients to self screen before their appointment. Screening is also done in-clinic before every session.
  • Therapy rooms are to be sanitized before and after every appointment.
  • Clients and therapists must wear masks at all times.

Occupational Therapist – Master’s Level

We are a busy Barrie clinic that treats children 0-18 years of age with various developmental disabilities. We treat children individually and in groups. This position allows creativity and flexibility. We require this candidate to have paediatric experience and have strong interpersonal skills along with excellent communication skills both verbally and written.

The candidate must be in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and holds a Masters degree in Occupational Therapy

Contract length: 12 months

Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

Occupational Therapy Assistant

Communicative Disorders Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated, engaging, and experienced Paediatric Communicative Disorders Assistant to join our team of professional therapists.

The CDA would be supervised by our Speech Language Pathologists. Your role would be to work on the goals set out by the SLP and provide goal updates with the SLP. The CDA would work within their scope of practice and adhering to the clinic policies.

  • A minimum of 2 years experience.
  • Must have graduated from an accredited college CDA program.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent time management with timely reporting.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an interprofessional team.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to set priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with booking software and virtual treatment is an asset.

Social Worker (MSW)

This position would be assessing and treating children 4-18 years. We service children with a variety of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression , behaviour, developmental trauma for example.

We require a Master’s level. The candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, proficient writing/documentation skills, good team player and good time management skills. Documentation will be done in a timely manner according to clinic policies.

It is recommended that the candidate has at least 2 years experience working with children.
